High card fees at my car wash are hurting business

At my car wash, the credit and debit card companies (Moneris/E-xact and Global Pay) are charging me fees as high as 6% on every payment. It's cutting way into my profits. Has anyone else faced these steep fees? With costs this high, I'm starting to think accepting cash or coins makes more sense

my gawd, that's super high fee, it's not normal. Typical credit card processing fees for car washes in the US usually range from 1.5% to 3.5% for card present transactions. Debit card fees are often lower! I think you need to call the bank and find someone who can help you there

Yeah, 6% is crazy high! I'll call the bank and ask about better rates, I might also shop around for other processors

6% is supe crazy. Have you considered switching companies? Preferably ones that won't rip you off
