Just took over some small self serve washes here in my loc and the mechanical rooms are well, they're a bit of a jungle! Seems like a lot of old stuff in there. Wondering if anyone knows of any good guides for remodeling these mechanical rooms to be cleaner? any tips would be awesome!

I would start with cleaning out all the junk that's there, the one that should go in the trash. Check out the equipment and see which one is old enough to not be usable to you. Label everything and make a list of the equipment you'll need to replace. Double check the equipment and piping you plan on keeping and make sure it's in good shape. That's all I can think of. The idea is to basically renovate the mechanical rooms and make sure they're clean and fully operational and functional

strip it down to essentials, label everything, and run new lines cleanly along the walls with proper mounts, color coding helps too, there's no fancy guide really, just a lot of common sense and a weekend or two of hard work

@sea neroli I'd echo what @To_uche said, running new lines neatly with labels makes a world of difference. Take pictures as you go so you've got a reference if you ever need to trace something later.
